Planning: Moodboard ( self taken )

Moodboard with pictures taken by myself and our production group

 To further develop my mood board and initial ideas I have added three pictures I myself or in our production group have photographed. Below on the left is a picture of myself wearing a suit in the location of our crime scene house. I have added this to highlight the costume we have selected for my character and also to show my character on set. In the centre of the three pictures is a photo of myself with half my face covered by a shadow. The use of the shadow creates a sense of mystery to my character in the photo and also in addition to this we painted my face to make my character look beaten up to again develop on the rough edge of the character. Then on the right is a photo of a bottle of whiskey, three cigarettes and a lighter and I knave photographed and added thinks a they are key props in our production; excluding the lighter, and also fit our genre conventions.

Target audience: Through research into the genre of 'Thriller' data suggests the general trend of viewers are male between the age of 25-45. However, by making little shifts in our mise en scene; such as casting. We could broaden our target demographic to the audience of 15-54+ this shift of niche creates higher demand for the mass audiences. Audiences Research: Once we conducted our initial research, we had a bases for the target demographic. Production : COMMENTS

Behind the scenes: Comments  Upon Arrival to set the correct set dressing and props were displayed for the scene, this was then followed by setting the correct aperture and ISO of the camera.  Whilst setting up the mic and tripod, and setting the correct spirit levels.   A lighting stand was deployed to create the light the scene correctly. However, the lighting produced was too bright therefore saturated the shots which didn't match the dark conventions of a thriller film.  We used a Dolly to create some of the tracking shots that were supposed to be in the film, but unfortunately, the wheels didn't respond well to the floor surface. This meant that we didn't use the Dolly in the end. Costume design for each character was carefully selected to match the genre of the film and also conveyed certain traits about a character. Preliminary Film

Preliminary Film Evaluation : The film was very neatly constructed, the uses of ellipsis creates tension for the audience in conjunction to the music. Which was in conjunction to our genre which was a spy style film.  EBI : The last sequence was editing together to foreshadow that the briefcase was being handed over. However, this came across as a continuity error and next time will be not used as it can confuse the audience.
